Highly recommended!

The room, the staff, the courtyard, everything was amazing! The breakfast with live piano playing was such a delight.. The owner came to say hello to us during breakfast which was a very kind and personal.

Can’t wait to return, fantastic welcome, helpful staff and lovely room and breakfast

Beautiful hotel, great staff, lovely room, super breakfast, stunning location.

Fridge wasn’t working and heat pump wasn’t heating the room very well (in spite of being on 28 deg).

Romantic over night to Matera…. Pick this hotel!

We highly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic! The staff was some of the most pleasant, kind and helpful we have encountered at any hotel we have visited throughout our travels across the world not just Italy. The room was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. I wouldn’t mind copying the bathroom at our home. Breakfast was delicious. Parking garage was nice and safe.

What was the highlight of Corte San Pietro Matera

It was an exceptional stay in a fascinating place.

The breakfast was a most sophisticated way to begin the day, as it was served to each table in the elegant breakfast room, while we were entertained by a pianist. Anna booked a tour of Matera for us, which was outstanding. I believe that Renato Favilli is the name of the company, and Gaetano was our excellent guide. The room was wonderful, decorated beautifully and tastefully. The location was also ideal. Both Anne and Giuseppe were outstanding receptionists. They also booked dinner reservations for us, and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Our stay at Corte san Pietro made our visit to Matera a highlight of our three- week trip in Italy. I highly recommend it, unequivocably.

Magical stay at Corte San Pietro

Corte San Pietro exceeded our expectations. What a magical stay! The rooms are so well thought out with the design and comfort. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety to choose from. The best part of our stay was the friendly hospitality from the owners Fernando and Marisa. What a lovely couple. We felt as though we had known them forever and became friends. Anna and the rest of the staff are super accommodating and helpful. Anna has such knowledge of the history of Matera. This is such a wonderful boutique hotel and we can't wait to return.

Pleasant for a relaxing stay yet close to the square

The location is terrific, with views of the church carved into the top of the rock. The breakfast spread was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room is spacious, and the bathroom is pleasantly big, with a generous-sized stone tub and a spa-like feeling.

Very Good

The location is perfect. Our room had a separate entrance from the street, which was unusual. You can't hear the street noise, it's quiet at night. We had a great rest after a long journey.

The keys to the front door to the room are inconvenient, it took some skill to open the door.

The space is amazing, and the location was perfect for exploration of Matera. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, we cannot wait to come back!

Wonderful cave hotel with great hosts and breakfast.

Located in the heart of the cave district, this hotel had wonderful food and great hosts who made our stay so nice. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable.

We had some problems with the toilet in the room, but the staff all worked hard to make sure it did not impact our stay. I really appreciate all of their efforts.

Amazing boutique hotel with excellent service

Stunning boutique hotel in an excellent location. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful - some of the best service we've experienced. The breakfast was delicious, in a room with live music. Overall a fantastic experience.

memorable stay in a fabulously re-interpreted place

Breakfast was a delight, beautiful room with pianist, personally cooked and prepared. The post breakfast visit tot he hotels 'cisterns' was a unique experience. Restaurant recommendations and bookings, guidance on places to visit and arrangement of transfers was all managed with care, and tailored to our needs. Fabulous

Would recommend this hotel for a stay. The staff were fabulous.

Loved the staff. They were very helpful in many ways. They were able to secure a driver for us from Bari, they directed us to a fabulous restaurant as well as to see a wonderful movie on the Sassi people.. And the breakfast was excellent.

Only thing was that the safe didn’t work in the room and there was no TP! But just an easy oversight. It did not detract from the hotel.
